Getting Closer To The Finish Line?

LIFE IS BETTER

Last night I got internet and can report again about our difficult period of life. However, now I believe that we are already close to the finish line.

Thanks to your prayers and support, every day I see small but very important miracles. I thank you all very much for supporting us. When I re-read your such kind and sensual comments to our posts, I feel great joy and peace. Only this helps muffle the bitterness of separation from my peach princess and home. But I have confidence that soon we will be together.

I set myself the goal of bringing Roxy to the Czech Republic before March 26, my birthday. Roxy hatched on April 10 and she deserves to celebrate her Hatchday with her loving dad.

About my business:

Yesterday was a very important day (not only because of the internet connection in my apartment). I met my landlord in person for the first time. It was important for me to convince him that Roxy should live with me.

Fortunately, in the Czech Republic, such cockatoos are very rare and he saw them only on TV. I showed him some cute videos of Roxy where she is so cute and is the epitome of innocence (a lot of people don't really even know what a cockatoo is in real life). I warned that Roxy screams loudly, gnaws everything that gets into her powerful beak (the apartment was completely empty and I bought used furniture myself). My landlord said he was "sure this cute bird couldn't be any louder than his dog" 🙂 He said that he understands very well that Roxy should be with me and she must be taken out of Ukraine.

On Roxy's condition:

This cute bird has become much calmer, and she is also not so capricious now. She tries to get maximum attention and affection from every visit of my father and volunteers. She now immediately eats all the fruits and vegetables that are given to her (previously she threw away many fruits or did not take them right away). She herself presses against the edge of the cage to be scratched and stroked. Once every two days she is let out for an hour walk (so far it is not possible to let her out every day).

We gave the documents to Roxy for translation and certification (into Czech). Next week I will be talking to the new lawyer I was given to resolve the issue of Roxy leaving (I worried in vain that this vile Nina “Suriname” would harm us, since we refused her “dirty services”). We need to hurry, because everyone says that the Russian troops are going to attack Kyiv again.

About new home:

I'm going to sign up for a Czech language course next week and look for a job. Karlovy Vary has many health and wellness facilities, so I hope to find a job quickly. I really like this city. It is very comfortable to live in. I can walk around it all. I haven't walked that much in a long time. There is very clean mountain air, many water channels, as well as various birds: swans, ducks, etc. And most importantly, there are very happy and calm people who go about their business slowly, just smile and are very friendly. I have not seen this in Ukraine for a long time.

I am very grateful to God that he helped me break free. Today, for the first time, my father agreed that he should also go to the Czech Republic. Prior to that, he categorically did not want to leave Ukraine. That's all for now. You can learn more from my book.
