NEED TO GO FURTHER

I’m sorry for not posting for a long time. The last two weeks have been full of anxiety. Given the long waiting period for my travel documents, as well as the recommendations of the doctors, we decided to have my father undergo eye surgery in Kyiv.

Everything went well and my father returned home today. The result of the operation is good and despite the heart problems, my father will be able to have a decent quality of life again, as much as possible in a country that is dying in a war. This is another positive result for these 4 months. We must move on.

During these 2 weeks, several other important events happened. I think that God protects me and, of course, your prayers and support protect me.

How grateful I am to all of you! Here is an example of how it works. Two months ago, I found a safe place for us in Western Ukraine. This is a small town in the Khmelnitsky region. It was very calm there and there were no Russian missiles. I rented a house for half a year, where we planned to live until we could leave Ukraine (I'm not sure if I can leave yet). The house has a separate room for our birds, as well as a wood-burning stove, water and sewerage, which are autonomous. This is important because the government tells us that next winter will be very difficult and everyone should be ready to turn off gas, electricity, water and other benefits of civilization.

However, the house needed to be renovated. When I was choosing a house, I was offered several options, but I made the right choice with the help of my intuition. I chose a house that happened to be in a safe place. Last week this town was heavily shelled by Russian rockets. One of the rockets hit the house that I was offered to rent. I didn't choose it. The other two houses that I was shown also now have problems with water and sewerage.

On Roxy's condition:

All hormone problems are over and the bird has become an angel again. Yes, she continues to gnaw on the furniture in the bedroom, but she does it, since I no longer forbid her from doing so (furniture needs to be changed).

About the situation in Kyiv:

tension and anxiety are increasing every day. We expect that Belarus will enter the war and the troops of this puppet country will help Putin blockade Kyiv and cut off communication with Western Ukraine. Many residents have returned to the city, but at the first danger they are again ready to leave. Foreign embassies have reopened in Kyiv, and foreign leaders visit every week. Strange war....

Now we are waiting for my father to recover and I may receive a medical certificate to leave. I really hope that we will have time to leave before a new stage of escalation. We stay in touch and will report our news. I love you all and thank you for your support! XOXO
