War Atrocities Begin To Be Revealed

Our news, short brief: Friday, April 1, 2022, Kyiv

Dear friends, we are doing well and we are safe.

Yesterday and today I have a lot of work. I help with the filming of a documentary movie about the tragedy of animals in Ukraine during the war. This movie is filmed by Netflix and the producer and cameramen arrived in Kyiv. I became a consultant and one of the central characters of the movie. Roxy and I will tell our story. Yesterday and today we went to different locations in Kyiv, visited the Kyiv Zoo. We are looking for heroes and interesting stories.

So I have a little time, I still need to prepare for the filming of Roxy. She will have a debut and she is worried. This is not the first time I have taken part in filming, I used to often be on television, even on ABS Australia, BBC, Sky News, etc.

Soon I will make a short but very scary post about what Russian barbarians did in the occupied cottage towns and villages in the suburbs of Kyiv. Among the Russian soldiers there are representatives of the peoples of the North (Buryats, Evenks, etc.), who eat dogs and cats. These monsters killed and ate all the dogs and cats in many villages near Kiev (they ate chickens, ducks and geese before), as the Russians had supply problems. They wanted meat, and meager soldier rations no longer suit them. Dogs are butchered and smoked on a fire, the meat is cut into thin strips, from which rolls are made. For the movie and my book, we are collecting eyewitness accounts of these atrocities. This terrible story will be in my book.

On Roxy's condition:

Roxy continues to play with her plastic ball.

I send love and good luck to everyone. Please continue to pray for us. Your wishes and comments give us a lot of energy. XoXo

I saw you on Facebook and have been praying for your safe arrival in Australia. I did not know you were doing a documentary. That is wonderful--the world needs to see what the Russians are doing to the Ukranian people. I am in a writers group, Happy Writers. I organized a prayer service for Ukraine and it's people. God bless you, Roxy, your family and all the people of Ukraine at this horrific time.

Thank you for the update Sergii. Please be safe in your surroundings at all times and don't let your guard down. The atrocities that you are witnessing are so traumatic as well as what we see on TV. Mariupol has been demolished to rubble and the Russians are even attacking humanitarian convoys. It's heartbreaking to watch and we feel so helpless. Sharing what you are going through must wear on you tremendously. Please make you and Roxy a priority in safety. You are an intelligent man and a great asset to those around you and your family. Filming a documentary brings to light the grotesque reality of what Russian's are doing to Ukrainians, but please do not to r…

The Russians will not be forgiven for the atrocities committed in your country. It is good that Netflix are involved with you in documenting the harm and stress brought upon the animals for the world to see. Roxy will be a beautiful film star even without preparation. Keep safe and well and prayers for you, Roxy and all your family.

I can't find the right words just yet. I am appalled and too upset and I have no polite or decent words to find. I will try to put another message on here later.

Sergii, your voice will help shed light on all this.

I hope Roxy isn't too camera shy - she is very photogenic. ;)

I am so glad you are both okay today. Much love as always.
