Our news: May 9 -12, 2022, Kyiv
The third month of this tough and senseless war will soon end. Recently, mesons, days, weeks… don't really differ much for us. We are just waiting for changes, solutions to our issues, but nothing changes. Time just stopped for us. If you try to speed up something, then unexpected circumstances arise that stop everything and we wait again.
I can’t understand what this is connected with, but someone or something is keeping us in Kyiv. It all started with the delivery of the last cage for Roxy, without which we cannot move to Western Ukraine. The cage is very heavy and large, so there were problems with it back in Hungary. So far, the issue of how to deliver it to Ukraine is being resolved.
We are also waiting for my father's passport. The document is not ready yet. In Ukraine, everything is now being done for a very long time and there are not enough forms, which is why the Russians destroyed the factory that makes biometric passport forms. We are already accustomed to waiting and nothing else remains, we are hostages of this situation.
About Roxy's condition:
We've made a lot of progress and Roxy's behavior has improved a lot. I see that she wants to bite, but she controls herself, as shaving upsets me. She often grabs my fingers with her beak, squeezes them and immediately releases. She seems to have learned her lesson not to bite me. Roxy gently kisses the wound marks left by her previous bites. She feels guilty. Yes, she really loves me very much and is afraid of losing my trust.
Roxy wanted to bathe very much today and I provided her with a good bath. Then I dried it with a hair dryer as it was very wet. Roxy is very happy today and me too.
About the situation in Kyiv: every day there are more people and this is also a problem, as the logistics of food supply and traffic are disrupted. There is no gasoline at all, but the cars are still driving. Not sure where they get their gas?
I am very grateful for your support and concern for us. Unfortunately, we have very few changes and I don't always know what to write in the next post. While I am working on a book, since there has been no work for a long time. It's hard and I have to force myself to do something. While we are waiting for a new batch of humanitarian aid. Sending love and hope to everyone. XOXO
Best wishes,
Sergii and Roxy
I continue to think of you constantly, and of this stupid and useless war. When time both stands still, and yet you can watch it move it is an eternity. It becomes a surreal nightmare. I am sorry this is reality for now, and am hoping that documents and cage come through soon. Please post if there are things that we can assist you with-

Wish You All The Best
I can feel the frustration of things being delayed especially as your need to move to a safer place is paramount. I will pray for those issues to be resolved so that you can progress your plan for exit much more quickly. I’m pleased to hear that Roxy is happier and that you were able to bathe and blow dry her. Hopefully the large cage will arrive soon. On our news channels in the UK we see no end to the atrocities committed by the insane Russian dictator and his evil forces. Hopefully one day soon Ukraine will be free to rebuild and enjoy democracy once more! Thank you for keeping us updated. Sending my prayers and thoughts.
We all appreciate the time you take to let us know that you are okay. It is always a relief to see an update.
I wish the logistics of things were easier for you. I cannot imagine the anxiety of waiting to be able get all the things sorted so you can travel.
I am glad Roxy's mood is a lot better and manageable. It is nice that she was able to shower. She is a very pretty lady!
Much love to you both.
So glad to hear from you and know you are alive. I worry when I don't hear from you but am always glad for news. You have more patience then I would. I will continue to think about you and pray for you.
